The Cliveden House. Cliveden is an Italianate mansion and estate at Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England. Set on banks 40 metres above the River Thames, its grounds slope down to the river. The house dates back to 1666 built by the 2nd Duke of Buckingham who originally created it as a hunting lodge where he could entertain his mistress and friends.
